Stainless Steel Industrial Desiccant Rotor Dehumidifier -20°C-70°C 4.5kg/H
Throughout the world, different cold stores have different configurations, but few can fully resolve a problem common to all cold store operators - FROST!
Water and ice create dangerous slippery conditions in the loading dock with ice building up around cold store entrances. Ice also builds up around the inside of the cold store, including the intake to the evaporator coils, the components critical for maintaining products at sub zero temperatures.
This creates the need for constant defrosts and stretches the capability of the cooling capacity of your equipment, whilst using a great deal of energy.
Safety issues can arise when fog forms around door entrances, causing poor visibility. Snow accumulates on product, creating the potential for collapsing cases.
Ice and snow also build up on cold store ceilings and floors with the potential to fall on people and form dangerous uneven floors for fork lift trucks carrying loads at speed. The reduced visibility from fog also increases loading times.
RY-800M series dehumidifiers are designed for cold stores or any other low temp conditions using. This type dehumidifier is made from a high grade stainless steel #304, ensuring a rust free product when used in the most severe of applications. Meanwhile they conform to both harmonised European Standards and to CE marking specifications. It’s compact, rugged, and lightweight design facilitates easy transportation by one person and is easily accommodated within space restricted areas. The RY-600M dehumidifier incorporates a PTC Heater ensuring maximum drying is immediately reached and constantly maintained while the unit is running. In addition to the hours run meter, which shows the units running time, an ammeter is also incorporated in order to monitor the units drying effectiveness. Manual / Automatic control is a standard feature within the RY-M range of desiccant dehumidifiers. The spigot connectors allow quick and easy installation. All models incorporate a high efficiency patented PPS Rotor. All desiccant rotors are washable, and designed for high performance and long life(long 10 years)
Besides, RY-M rotor technology is the precision seals which divide the air distribution chamber. These provide a precise airflow balance for dehumidification and reactivation while allowing for alternative fan placement and rotor sectioning.
How Desiccant Dehumidification Works:
Desiccant dehumidifiers perform exceptionally well when used in cooler climates, or when a low dewpoint, deep drying or low humidity levels are required because they dehumidify through adsorption. Since desiccant dehumidifiers do not produce water, they will work effectively down to sub zero temperatures. Their operation is simplistic yet extremely effective and reliable.
In a typical dry desiccant system, the desiccant is mounted on a rotating wheel. As the wheel turns, the desiccant passes alternately through the incoming process air where the moisture is adsorbed and through a “regenerating” zone where the desiccant is dried and the moisture expelled. The wheel continues to rotate and the adsorbent process is repeated.
Typically, about three-fourths of the desiccant wheel is exposed to the incoming air throughout the process. During regeneration, the desiccant is heated by a direct-fired gas burner or indirect-fired water or steam coil.
Process Inlet—Air to be dried. May be outside air, inside air or, more commonly, a mixture of air with high humidity content.
Process Outlet—Air is dried by desiccant wheel. May be cooled, filtered or otherwise handled. Relative humidity is substantially lower and temperature slightly raised.
Reactivation Inlet—Air flow, usually outside air, that drives moisture off wheel. Reactivation air is heated by direct-fired gas burner or indirect-fired water or steam coils.
Reactivation Outlet—Hot, wet air from wheel is exhausted outside or passed through an air-to-air heat exchanger. Using a heat exchanger to preheat incoming process air offers substantial savings in northern climates.
Applications:
1. Cold stores/storages
2. Packing
